My Film Projects and Visual Storytelling

Casanoir
By Jonathan Geffner (2023)

My passion for detail and commitment to evoking the nostalgia and mood of the iconic movie were instrumental in creating a setting that resonated with the audience, immersing them in a world that echoed the romantic allure and cinematic charm of Casablanca.

As a production designer for the movie, I dedicated myself to conducting extensive research and meticulously crafting the set design to capture the essence and atmosphere closest to that of the classic film "Casablanca."

Cargo Van (2022)

In this long-take film, we have designed the costumes and vehicles in a way that is convenient for the crew and actors to move.

The Chip Person
By Christopher Bradley (2022)

I was responsible for set design and prop making in this film. The brick wall behind the actors was actually a full window, which we covered with a fake brick wall. All the locations in this film were decorated from scratch in a studio setting. My assistants and I created four different areas for this movie: two apartment settings, an AA meeting room, and a bar setting.

The Tragedy of Tissaraka
By JT Schindler (2022)

I did the production design for this project. All the costumes were made for this film, with a great amount of handwork and prints to make them production-ready. Finding a location for this ancient story was one of the main tasks in this project.

Littoral (2018)

Littoral was shot in two different countries, with actors from different cultures. The film is in black and white, with some scenes in color. I worked as a Production Design Director, Set Designer, and Costume Designer.

Dollmaker's Winter
By Negin Keyhanfar (2007)

"Dollmaker's Winter" holds a special place in my portfolio as my debut short film, where I took on the roles of writer, producer, and director. This project garnered recognition by being selected for prestigious international film festivals, including the Lodz International Short Film Festival and the Tehran International Short Film Festival. The success and recognition received by "Dollmaker's Winter" at these esteemed festivals highlight my creative vision, storytelling abilities, and dedication to the art of filmmaking.

In "Dollmaker's Winter," I explored a poignant narrative centered around a dollmaker who yearns for his creations to come to life and embark on their destined journeys. Little does he realize that he, too, is a doll crafted by the last dollmaker. This thematic twist adds layers of depth to the story, delving into themes of identity, creation, and the cyclical nature of existence.

I meticulously crafted 30 dolls for this project, each intricately designed to breathe life into the narrative. These dolls later served as the foundation for my most ambitious project, laying the groundwork for a creative endeavor that pushed the boundaries of storytelling and visual artistry.
